Stop Blinking and Start Raining with Meteor Shower Rain LED Fairy Lights

Most outdoor Christmas lights are pretty basic. They either sit there doing nothing, or they flash on and off like a panic alarm. It gets boring fast.

These Meteor Shower lights are a completely different animal. Instead of just lighting up, the light “falls” down the tube. It looks like dripping icicles, falling snow or a shooting star streaking across the night sky. When you hang these from a tree branch or a roof gutter, it creates a sense of movement that grabs attention immediately. It’s the difference between a static photo and a video.

You get 8 separate tubes in a set, each measuring 30cm long. Inside each transparent tube is a strip of LEDs that fire in a rapid sequence from top to bottom.

Unlike cheap knock-offs that only have lights on one side, these use Double-Sided LED patches. This means no matter which way the wind spins the tube, the light is visible from all angles. They run on standard 220V AC power (a normal 2-pin wall plug), so you get consistent, bright output without worrying about batteries dying in the middle of a dinner party.

Why Choose These Meteor Lights?

  • The “Dripping” Effect: This is the main selling point. The chip inside controls the LEDs to turn on and off in a cascading wave. It’s hypnotic to watch. If you get the Cool White ones, it looks like falling snow. If you get the Multicolor, it looks like a digital firework display frozen in time.

  • Chain Them Together: One set of 8 tubes covers about 3-4 meters, which is great for a small window. But if you have a big oak tree or a long veranda, you don’t want to run five different extension cords. These lights have a Tail Plug connector. You can plug the second set directly into the end of the first set. You can chain up to 3 sets together on a single power plug.

  • Built for the Outdoors: The tubes themselves are sealed and waterproof. They are designed to hang outside in the rain without shorting out. The polycarbonate shell is tough enough to handle wind knocking them against branches. (Just remember to wrap the main power plug in plastic or keep it under cover).

  • 360-Degree Visibility: We mentioned this before, but it matters. Many budget meteor lights use a single LED strip against a backing board, meaning they are dark from the back. These have LEDs mounted on both sides of the internal board, so they look bright from every direction.

Where Can You Use It?

The “Weeping Willow” Look

This is the classic use case. Hang them vertically from the high branches of a tree in your garden. The light “dripping”down creates an amazing illusion of the tree shimmering in the dark.

Rooflines & Gutters

Cable tie them along your gutter lines. Instead of standard static icicle lights, you get a dynamic “melting ice” effect that makes your house stand out on the street.

Patio Perimeters

If you have a pergola or a covered patio, hang these along the beams. It lowers the visual ceiling and creates a cozy, enclosed feeling for evening drinks, without being as bright and harsh as a floodlight.

Commercial Displays

If you own a restaurant or shop, these are brilliant for attracting attention to your shopfront window or street signage without being blindingly bright.

Make Your Garden Move

Static lights are fine, but falling lights are magical. Whether you want a snowy white winter vibe or a multicolour party atmosphere, these tubes transform a dark garden into a light show.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long is the Wire?

The total length is approximately 3.8 meters. This includes the wire from the plug to the first tube, the span of the tubes, and the tail wire.

Can I Connect Different Colors Together?

Yes, the connectors are universal for this model. You can plug a Blue set into a White set if you want to mix up the theme.

Are They Waterproof?

The tubes are fully waterproof and dustproof. However, the controller box and the wall plug are NOT waterproof. You have to keep the plug connection inside a waterproof junction box or keep it under a roof overhang.

Do They All Fall at the Same Time?

When you first turn them on, they might be synchronized, but because of slight variance in the chips, they naturally drift out of sync after a few minutes. This is actually better, as it creates a random, natural “rainfall” look rather than a robotic marching pattern.

What Happens if One Tube Breaks?

Because they are wired in parallel, if one tube fails or gets smashed, the other 7 tubes will usually keep working fine.

Being honest I have received the service from Graeme than what I expected. I am located in Zimbabwe and we purchased the rain meteor lights and fairy lights blue color for an event. The delivery process was top notch and I had to ask Graeme to urgently send the items which he did the next day early morning. I will keep on purchasing from LED ADDICT. You have built a good relationship with us and created trust. Thank you.
