Frequently Asked Questions

Are They Waterproof? 

The LED string itself is water-resistant and can handle rain. However, the control box and the plug are NOT waterproof. If you use them outside, you must wrap the controller in plastic or place it inside a weatherproof electrical box.

Do They Get Hot? 

No, though they are powerful, LEDs are extremely efficient and produce almost no heat. You can safely wrap them around fabric, tinsel, or dry Christmas trees without any fire risk.

Can I Cut the String? 

No, you shouldn't because it will break the electrical circuit, and the remaining section will stop working. If the string is too long, simply bundle the excess wire out of sight.

What Happens if One Bulb Breaks? 

These are modern LEDs, not old-school incandescent bulbs. If one individual LED fails, the rest of the string usually stays lit. However, the bulbs are sealed into the wire and cannot be replaced individually.

Does the 10m Version Have Memory?
